our Band's Name comes from an old Saga from Grenchen, exactly : from the CHAPPELI-TÜÜFU

History
A very looong time ago, the universe have had its BIG BANG !! (no not Big Ben)

Does it make any sense so far ? Not yet ??

1902	Gründung der Faschingszunft Grenchen
1948	1. Ausgabe der "Gränchner Gosche" (Fasnachtszeitung)
1951	Gründung der "Guggemusig Faschingszunft Gränche" (GMFZG)
1984	Eine Guggenmusik feiert doch ganz sicher den 33. Geburtstag
1992	die GMFZG nimmt - entgegen den Zunft-Statuten - auch Frauen als Mitspielerinnen in ihre Reihen auf
1993	1. Fasnacht mit grosser (30 Stk) Guggenmusik, dank so vieler Frauen
1995	Umbenennung: aus "Guggenmusik Faschingszunft Grenchen" wird: "Chappeli Tüüfle der Faschingszunft Grenchen"
1996	Alt-Obernarr Heinz Westreicher ist Haupt-Initiant zur Gründung der Kinderguggenmusik "Schuelschwänzer"
2001	50-Johr-Feier GMFZG/CTG im Löwen von und zu Grenchen
2006	vermutlich eine grössere Feier zum 55er-Jubiläum (nicht mehr im Löwen)

our Carnivals Band GMFZG/CTG is probably the oldest in the Canton of Solothurn

and belongs for sure to the oldest, still active ones of Switzerland

This Homepage has been created and is maintained with a Texteditor (NotePad) and a html-4-handbook. Especially no Flash- und Java-Functions were built in. On this Site in English (even in G and F) is just a short overview about the most important Pictures/Info More (a whole lot more) Pictures are in the Swiss German Version to see. The same also for more Details for Presentation / Explanation / Description. optimized for : - Netscape and 1024 x 768 (800 x 600 still should be ok too), - Window on Browser large as possible.
